Our House is wonderful!!! I felt right at home the moment I walked in; in fact, I felt like I was breaking in to someone’s home! It’s very cozy, and Bedda the owner is incredibly helpful and welcoming. the location is PERFECT for seeing everything Reykjavik has to offer. I can’t wait to return to Iceland so that I can stay at Our House again!

I stayed here in June, and it was the perfect end to my trip. It has an amazing location, and has a homelike vibe to it, unlike the mega hostels. It really is a house! The staff was incredible as well. They provided maps and ideas for eating, drinking, and sightseeing. Bedda was a lifesaver when I “overslept” my flight, helping me to arrange a doctor’s note so I could avoid airline fees

There is no better place to stay in Reykjavik than Our House. It’s warm and cosy atmosphere makes you feel like home. Best guesthouse I have ever been! If I ever return to Reykjavik – and I definitely will – I will stay in that lovely guesthouse again!

Of all the hostels I’ve stayed in- this is by far my favourite! Luxury shared accommodation mixed with the best of hostel backpack friendly atmosphere and prices with that essential dose quirkiness thrown in- thanks to the awesome Bedda!

An awesome place to stay in Reykjavik! You get the warmest of welcomes from the owner Bedda, it’s in a great location (1 min walk away from the church), it’s a home from home, there’s breakfast included, a friendly social atmosphere, comfortable beds, free internet…the list goes on. There is not one fault this place and when I go back to Reykjavik one day I’ll definitely be staying here again

I consider this to be a highlight of my trip to Iceland. In fact, a highlight out of all my travels, everywhere, after 20+ years of backpacking and hostels. It is so special, and Bedda is such a delight, that I only hope that it can remain so after it gains in popularity, as surely it will after all these glowing reviews. I would consider returning to Iceland just to visit Bedda in her cozy home.

Our House is amazing! It is the perfect mix of classy guesthouse and international youth hostel. Bedda gave us such a warm welcome and I felt right at home immediately. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I ever happen to return to Iceland!

Our house was a beautiful and cozy stay during our visit in Reykjavik. Our room was very clean and pleasant. The bathroom is spacious and it connects to a large and nice balcony. The kitchen was a pleasant place to socialize with other guests. Bedda, the owner made Our House not only cozy and clean, but also fun to stay. She gave us very warm personal welcome and made everything so convenient and orderly. What else is the best value? The location of Our House. It’s only steps away from Hallgrimur’s Church, the largest church and landmark in Reykjavik, and it’s very close to downtown. We really felt that we were staying in our own house. Will definitely choose it again for our next visit in Reykjavik.
